'Myself and Other Animals' book signing with Lee Durrell
Join Lee Durrell at the Jersey Zoo Gift Shop on Sunday, 12 January, from 11 am to 1 pm for a signing of 'Myself and Other Animals,' celebrating Gerald Durrell's centenary year. This newly released book, curated by Lee Durrell, offers a unique insight into Gerald's life through unpublished autobiographies and various writings. Copies will be available for purchase during the event, with no booking required.

JMGOC January 2025 Sunday Meeting and Run
Join the January 2025 JMGOC Sunday Meeting at Jersey Pearl in St Ouen, beginning at 10:30am. After the meeting, weather permitting, participants will enjoy a group run at 11:30am. The JMGOC gathers here every month on the second Sunday for camaraderie and a scenic drive.

Rotary Regifting Appeal
The Rotary Regifting Appeal invites you to donate unused gifts to support the transformation of the vacant St Ouen's Methodist Church into a skateboarding facility for young Islanders. Donations can be made at most parish halls, and the sale will be held at St Ouen's Parish Hall on Saturday, 8th February, from 10am to 2pm. Participate in this charitable initiative to help create a vibrant community space.

Blessing of the Waters
This weekend, Bishop Paul Thomas of The See of Oswestry will preside over a Mass for the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, during which he will confer the Sacrament of Confirmation upon eight individuals. Following the Mass, attendees will gather at the Lido on Havre des Pas, where the Bishop will perform the ancient tradition of blessing the sea waters. The event promises to be a memorable and spiritually enriching experience, culminating in a celebratory lunch.
