Meet the Panellists:
Charlotte Machon, Co-Founder & Head of Operations at Chapter One
Charlotte co-founded Chapter One to challenge the status quo in the training industry, creating a space where students feel truly supported. With a background in industry, Charlotte is a qualified accountant and holds certifications in Prince2 and Lean Six Sigma. She has a passion for business improvement and system implementation, which she brings into her work daily.
Charlotte brings an infectious energy to everything she does - a dog lover, qualified ski instructor, and exercise enthusiast, she’s rarely seen sitting still. Charlotte is also a proud mum to a two-year-old and balances motherhood with her professional life.
Jo Buckross, Head of Consumer Banking at Lloyds International
Jo leads the retail business across Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man. With 25 years’ experience in the banking industry, Jo’s career journey has been anything but linear. Starting her career at Lloyds as a part-time cashier, Jo worked her way up to her current leadership role. Along the way she's moved from Scotland to the Isle of Man, Gibraltar, and Jersey, where she’s now embracing the challenge of balancing a successful career with family life.
Ellen Carre, Head of Client Services at Palmer
Ellen is the Head of Client Services at Palmer, a growing fund administration platform founded in 2023, where she brings dedication, purpose, and a strong work ethic to everything she does. She began her career at Sanne Group plc, where she qualified as a chartered certified accountant.
Ellen is passionate about honest leadership, empowering women in their careers, and building a successful business in Jersey. Known for being relentlessly hardworking, she believes success comes from showing up fully - flaws, doubts, and all.
Outside of spreadsheets and strategy, Ellen recharges by running, swimmin and chasing the sun.
