A passive style of yoga that targets connective tissues of the body (fascia). Yin yoga regulates the sympathetic nervous system which encourages a calm, introspective outlook and helps to relieves stress. The deep stretches nourish and strengthen the fascia, reduce inflammation, increase circulation and release toxins. Yin postures are held for 2-5 minutes allowing the body time to settle, supported by props. Followed by Nidra a guided meditation practice with a focus on grounding to encourage mindful presence.
