Water the Walk - Volunteering with Jersey Trees for Life

Jersey Trees for Life is hosting an open volunteering session at the Corbière section of the Railway Walk on Thursday 15 May at 9.30am.
If you're into trees or simply up for getting out for a bit of mild exertion on a spring morning, we'd love you to join us.
As its name suggests, this session will be all about watering. You've probably noticed that spring has been lovely and sunny but the flipside is of course the lack of water. Therefore we're going to bring a full bowser to Corbière and start making our way along the Railway Walk while our team and volunteers water the whips and refill their cans.
Given the session's purpose, we would cancel it in advance if there were to be a meaningful amount of rain in the interim period
. Should this transpire, we'll confirm the cancellation; it seems unlikely based on current forecasts, however.

For those joining us, please bear in mind the following:
- You must complete a
volunteer working agreement
before attending (link also in confirmation email)
- Check the weather and wear sunscreen as appropriate
- You may get tired so don’t push yourself too hard; take it at your own pace
- Bring snacks and drinks to maintain energy levels
