Laughter is the BEST medicine for stress, depression and feeling burdened by responsibilities. It instantly reduces cortisol levels and stabilises our dopamine levels. Laughter Yoga, combined with Meditation and Ceremonial Cacao and Healing Crystal Sound Bowl frequencies, this wellbeing course has been specially designed to tap you into the lighter and sillier side of your being, shift the weight of the world, and open up your chest and heart capacity. This 6 Week Course is facilitated by Maria Barnicoat, a Health and Wellbeing specialist, and participants are given the choice of coming on the course on a Monday evening at 7pm til 8.30pm OR Wednesday Mornings 10am til 11.30am. She trained in laughter yoga in 2010 and has imparted her own style into this art of silliness. She regularly holds cacao ceremonies and has included a small optional cup of cacao for each participant to drink at the beginning of each session. A small dose of ceremonial cacao gently opens the heart, enhances mood, and promotes mental clarity without overstimulation. Rich in theobromine and magnesium, it supports circulation, relaxation, and focus, making it ideal for meditation, creative practices, or connecting with others. Even in small amounts, it can foster emotional presence, uplift the spirit, and deepen one’s connection to self and intention. If you could do with more lightness this really is for you. She is assisted by the talented Alexander Lee-Briard with his entrancing crystal sound healing bowls and violin frequencies who will end our invigorating sessions with a soothing and calming sound bath.
