I am pleased to advise you all that Diabetes Jersey is hosting this event, so that those individuals in Jersey who are providing diabetes related services within Primary Care, can better understand recent developments, in what is considered fast paced changes in the treatment of the condition.
Subjects to be covered will include diagnosis of Maturity Onset of Diabetes in the Young (MODY), initiation through to continuation of GLP/GIP treatments and how best managed in a community setting, a T2DM
pharmaceutical management pathway and guidance on looking after the poorly controlled frail elderly on multiple therapies and keeping them safe.
Parking is available at the venue and a light lunch will be provided from 1pm, with the presentation starting at 1.30pm. During the afternoon there will be a refreshment break with the presentation finishing at 4.30pm. Time will also be allocated to allow members present to ask questions of Dr Hopkins.
