Meet the panel
Deputy Sam Mézec – Housing Minister
Deputy Sam Mézec is Jersey’s current Minister for Housing. A Reform Jersey politician and former lawyer, he has been a vocal advocate for tenants’ rights, rent regulation and housing reform. Since declaring a housing crisis in 2023, he has led a number of government initiatives aimed at improving affordability and increasing housing supply.
Matt Watson - Chief Executive Officer, Tenn
Matt has worked in financial services for over 15 years. With a background in investments and lending, Matt’s experience has been gained primarily in scaling high growth, start-up financial services businesses. Matt is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities Institute and a Member of the Institute of Directors.
Michael Van Neste, MBE – Jersey Homes Trust
Michael founded the Jersey Homes Trust in 1995 and chaired its board for over 25 years. Now a consultant to the Trust, he remains a respected voice in the sector. Known for his thoughtful commentary on housing policy and development, He also chairs the Cranham Group, a Jersey-based property investment and development group. He was appointed MBE in 2022 for his service to the community.
Harry Trower – Director, Broadlands
Harry has over 16 years’ experience in Jersey’s property market. Known for his straight-talking style and deep market insight, he specialises in high-end property and is a familiar face from Broadlands’ popular @Jerseyagent videos. He’s a vocal commentator on housing policy and brings a frontline view of the market to the debate.
David Warr – Former Housing Minister
David Warr served as Jersey’s Housing Minister from 2022 to 2023, overseeing initiatives focused on increasing supply, tackling empty homes, and improving housing quality. With a background in business, he remains an active voice in housing discussions, advocating for pragmatic, long-term solutions to the island’s housing challenges.
