Beckie Scaife is currently a JICAS MSc student. The talk will be centred around the topic of her master's thesis, which focused on the use of environmental DNA for assessing the blue carbon potential of macroalgae in Jersey's marine environment. Beckie will give an overview of the concepts, discuss the findings of her project, and evaluate what this means for climate change mitigation in Jersey.
