Join experienced tour guide, Sue Gorin as she takes you on a beautiful North Coast walk. Starting at Jardin D'Olivet, the area will be seen in a new light as we explore the stories of battles fought with the French on the cliff tops above Bouley Bay, the landing of parliamentary troops who scouted the Island, and a duel involving a Bailiff of Jersey, just to name a few.
Enjoy a scenic walk along the cliff path and through beautiful lanes and pathways. We will highlight six different areas owned and managed by the National Trust for Jersey, including footpaths, a property, an orchard, and land gifted to the Trust.
The "harvest" in this northern parish has long been celebrated, with a Thanksgiving service for the various crops held at Trinity Church.
As we pass the fields, we can remember through tales, how many years ago, this was a busy time when many people united to help one another, celebrating with parties and merriment for the fruits of their labour.
