Jersey Bat Group Open Meeting

Jersey Bat Group are holding an open meeting on 19th March at 19.30 at the Societé Jersiaise, Pier Road, St Helier.

This will be an informal opportunity to chat to members and the committee and find out about the various activities that the group gets involved in. Our aims are to raise public awareness of bats and how everyone can help protect them, and survey and monitor bat populations, roosts, hibernacula and foraging sites in Jersey 

There are lots of different ways that one can contribute from: fundraising, keeping our social media current, helping organise bat walks and talks - both for the public and school and youth groups, helping with roost and foraging surveys, helping with capture/release sessions; helping with bat care when members of the public find a grounded or injured bat; promoting the annual great garden bat watch, and coming up with other ideas to increase bat awareness!
