Our new series of FREE ‘Meet the Collections’ events to showcase items not currently on display at our sites starts on 1 March. Join us at Jersey Archive from 9.30am-1pm to see objects and records that were added to our collections over the past year. These range from the confession letter that finally solved the mystery of the infamous Palace Hotel fire in 1945, to a family history collection relating to the Pallot family that covers a period from the 15th century to after the Second World War. On display will also be an unusual collection of sketches by Victorian artist Sarah Kilpack, depicting animals, elves, fairies and other mythical creatures. Our Conservation Lab at the Archive will be open throughout the morning, giving you the opportunity to see what our conservators have been working on recently and how they look after our archive collections. ‘Meet the Collections’ are drop-in events and no booking is required. Each month has a different theme and you can see the full line-up for the year ahead at http://www.jerseyheritage.org/.../meet-the-collections/
