We believe the name 'Worm" Moon refers to the earthworms that appear as the soil warms in spring, thus inviting birds to feed on them - a true sign of spring... That's good enough for us! ***** Moonrise time: 18.40 Sunset time: 18.12 ***** Once again we shall be pointing the telescope and binoculars skyward to explore a different world. The moonscape is always a spectacular vision but we shall also have a chance to see Venus, Mars and Jupiter. Obviously we are hoping for a clear sky and light winds! Please meet us at the benches above Long Beach car park, Grouville, from 18.00 onwards. If you have binoculars and a folding chair please bring them along. Warm clothing, a blanket and a hot drink are a good idea! For the swimmers ...high tide is at 19.01 and a massive 10.6m For the hungry ... Fish and Chips are available in the village from 17.00. A very nice treat! We hope you can join us for what is becoming a very popular social event for all the family. **IT IS A FREE EVENT**
