The Opening and first session of Awakening is all about THE ROOT CHAKRA . What is Awakening? Our 8 week intensive is a dance-sing-prayerful-movement- vibrational sound healing and transformational immersion into the mysterious spiral fabric of your chakras. . This journey is for you if you want to experience a more creative, activated, empowered and authentic version of yourself that you can offer to your life path, your relationships and all of life on the planet. . Each chakra connects specifically to life initiations and holds a realm of stories around it that you may have acquired in this lifetime. My intention and desire is that by the end of this course you will have a greater sense of the connection between your body, your chakras and your life experiences and that you will be able to feel the cellular transformation that happens and the optimism and empowerment that comes reconnecting with and inhabiting the body on a deeper and more expansive level than you have done before. . Tuesday 14th January is the beginning and perhaps most important part of our journey through the chakras and life phases as we tend to the roots and the deepest foundation of where we came from. . Meaning of Roots for us: . ROOT – our sense of connection to the earth and to our own bodies ROOT - the divine family sense inherent in us. ROOT – feeling at HOME – a right to be here. BELONGING. ROOT – Our sense of mothering and the MOTHER WOUND – what does this mean to us? Questions we can reflect on: What makes me feel safe and secure in my life? Are those things present right now? How do I respond to situations where I feel unstable or out of control? Do I feel a strong connection to my home, family, or community? Why or why not? How connected do I feel to my body and its physical needs (e.g., sleep, nourishment, movement)? When was the last time I felt completely grounded and present? What contributed to that feeling? Do I experience physical symptoms like tension, fatigue, or digestive issues that could reflect imbalance? How do I approach money and financial stability? Do I feel secure in this area of my life? What fears or anxieties do I have about my ability to meet basic needs like shelter, food, and safety? What is my relationship with work and productivity? Do I feel supported by my efforts? What fears do I hold onto, and how do they affect my sense of security and well-being? How do I build trust in myself and others? Are there areas where trust is difficult for me? When I face uncertainty, how do I maintain a sense of inner stability? How often do I spend time in nature, and how does it make me feel? What activities help me feel most connected to the earth and my surroundings? Do I take moments to appreciate and care for the physical world around me? How did my upbringing influence my sense of safety and belonging? Were there times in my childhood where I felt ungrounded or insecure? How do those experiences show up now? What beliefs about security and survival were passed down from my family or culture? What practices or routines help me feel more grounded and centred? Are there habits or patterns I can let go of to create more stability in my life? What steps can I take today to strengthen my foundation and feel more supported? . Although we very much recommend this course be taken as a complete journey, if you cannot attend all modules, it is possible to book individual sessions. Everyone over 16 is welcome . This course has evolved through its first creation in 2009 by Maria and brings in threads and experiences of her own journey of embodiment over the duration of the last 30 years. Everyone from past journeys are welcome as each journey is new and meets us where we are at NOW. . DATES AND THEMES . Tuesday 28th January: 18.30 til 21.30 - 2nd Chakra "SACRAL AWAKENING" Svadisthana/Passion/Creativity/ Water: The Sacral Chakra. A journey into our need for relationships and our sense of power, sex, money and survival in our physical environment. Shining the light on your sense of relating, feeling and abundance. . Tuesday 4th February: 18.30 til 21.30 - 3rd Chakra "SOLAR AWAKENING" Manipura/Confidence/Personal Power/ Fire: The Solar Plexus Chakra. A journey into our sense of self-esteem, self-confidence and self-respect. Shining the light on your sense of core strength and self value. . Tuesday 11th February: 18.30 til 21.30 - 4th Chakra "HEART AWAKENING" - Anahata/Compassion/Acceptance/Air: The Heart Chakra. A journey into our ability to let go, our ability to forgive and feel inner peace. Shining the light on your capacity of love, acceptance and compassion. . Tuesday 25th February: 18.30 til 21.30 - 5th Chakra "THROAT AWAKENING" - Vishuddha/Deliverance/Authenticity/ Ether: The Throat Chakra. A journey through the maturation of the willpower to true inner authority. Shining the light on your sense of authentic expression. . Tuesday 11th March: 18.30 til 21.30 - 6th Chakra "THIRD EYE AWAKENING- The Power of the Mind " - Ajna/Intuition/Foresight/ Ether: The Third Eye Chakra. A journey into our mental body, our sense of symbolic sight and psychological characteristics. Shining the light on your ability to discern truth. . Tuesday 25th March: 18.30 til 21.30 - 7th Chakra "CROWN AWAKENING- Transcendence" Sahasrara/Unity/Divine Intelligence/ Ether: The Crown Chakra. A journey into our connection to life force energy, inspirational and prophetic thoughts, transcendent ideas and mystical connections. Shining the light on your ability to transcend. . Tuesday 1st April: 18.30 til 21.30 - Rainbow Ceremony/Integration and Witness. A celebration of all we are, an embodied integration of all the modules and chakras with a divine invocation and affirmation of our intentions. .
