Details

Piers Sangan, Director of Sangan Island Conservation, is a wildlife ecologist and conservation land manager as well as an experienced bat worker and is currently the Co-Chair of the zoology section of the Societe Jersiaise. Piers founded the Jersey Grey Long Eared Project to investigate the lifestyle and habitat of one of Jersey’s most endangered bat species. His research and work across the Bailiwick endeavours to understand and protect this charming creature and the wider bat population. The research from the Channel Islands is now being fed into the national conservation efforts of Grey Long-Eared bats within the UK. Start Time: 2.30pm Meet at Frances le Sueur Centre, Grande Route des Mielles, St Ouen (between Kempt Tower and Barge Aground – look out for the signpost on the right hand side) FREE FOR MEMBERS £5.00 Donation for Non-Members Annual membership £15.00 per household
