Come through the side red door in the photo, climb the tower stairs, (being VERY careful and at your own risk), then join in the centuries old tradition in the parishes of St Mary, St Peter and St Ouen, of tolling the church bell. It is thought this tradition started in these parishes as they were the first to be freed from French occupation in 1468. One Rector of St Mary tried to stop it, and got in lots of trouble with the Royal Court!
