A workshop to develop an understanding of the end of life care needs for the LGBTQ+ community

Jersey Hospice Care and Liberate would like to invite LGBTQ+ community members to participate in a joint workshop to explore thoughts, concerns and experiences of end of life care, either in terms of someone significant to you or your own personal journey. The workshop will be led by Gail Edwards, Nurse Champion responsible for the palliative and end of life care community education. Jersey Hospice Care are keen to learn from our community on how best to break down any perceived or actual barriers faced by LGBTQ+ folks in respect of good quality palliative and end of life care. Recommendations and feedback from this session will inform new education for healthcare professionals working in this area.
