Join the Jersey Youth Symphony Orchestra as they take to the stage under the direction of Russell Abraham, alongside current musicians and alumni of the Guernsey Music Service.
Established in 2023, the Jersey Youth Symphony Orchestra (JYSO) will be celebrating its second anniversary this year.
The concert will feature the following repertoire:
Albinez arr. Arnold - Tango in D
Berlioz - ‘March to the Scaffold’ from Symphonie Fantastique
Dvořák - Waltz in F
Fauré - Pavane
Mendelssohn - Hebrides Overture
Vaughan Williams - Two Shakespeare Sketches
Wagner - Rienzi Overture
Adams - Short Ride in a Fast Machine
JYSO is supported by a number of local musicians, whose commitment, support and encouragement is so very much appreciated by its members. The orchestra is aimed at musicians aged between 13 - 25 of Grade 5+ standard.
