Presents: Discover the Hougue de Vinde
La Hougue de Vinde is a circular monument, sometimes describe as a tumulus, and bearing similarities to the cist-in-circle series dated from the Late Neolithic to the Bronze Age (around 2850 to 2250 BCE). This site has recently been studied through an archaeolog?ical evaluation directed by Dr Helen Dawson (Research Fellow, institute of Prehistory, Early History and Medieval Archaeology, University of Tuebingen) and Dr Hervé Duval-Gatignol (Société Jersiaise Field Archaeologist) in the course of JICAS’s Archaeological Summer School 2023, 2024 and 2025.
The project aims a better understanding of the site and included a restoration work to preserve the monument for the future generations.
