JH Members' Event: Sensory Adventure in the Garden, for Early Years
Join us for a magical afternoon of sensory exploration in Hamptonne’s newly planted Sensory Garden! Sponsored by HSBC and hosted by our Education team and Members' Curator Carmella Knight, this interactive event offers an engaging selection of hands-on experiences, including:
Bug Hunt
– grab a magnifying glass and go on a mini-beast adventure to discover bugs hiding in the garden!
Scented Playdough
– squish, roll and sculpt with sweet-smelling playdough to engage the senses and spark creativity.
Dressing Up
– flutter and buzz around the garden as a beautiful butterfly or busy little bee!
Find the Worm!
– wriggle your way to victory in this fun-filled search for the hidden worms.
Small World Play
– dive into a miniature bug world and let your imagination run wild in their tiny habitats.
Nature Bracelets
– collect dried flowers, petals, leaves and other natural materials to make beautiful nature-inspired art.
Mud Kitchen
– mix fragrant herbs and flowers with water to create magical potions and explore textures.
Story Corner and Drawing Stations
– bring the magic of nature to life through storytelling and creative expression.
Sensory Play at Hamptonne is
suitable for children aged 3-5 years
, whose parents are JH Members.
All children will need to be accompanied by a helpful adult who is willing to share the experience and join in the fun!
Ratio of 1 adult per 2 children.
Drop-in anytime between 1:30pm - 4:00pm
Please book 1 x Eventbrite ticket per child. Accompanying adults joining in do not need a ticket.
