, as she shares insights about her artwork, the process and inspiration for the “Fruit of the Spirit” exhibition.
Carmella will be sharing about the deeply personal and spiritual journey behind the five-year creation of her powerful new series, Fruit of the Spirit.
The evening begins with a
short talk by the artist at 6:00pm in the AV Theatre
, where Carmella will reflect on the inspiration, process, and intention woven into each piece.
Each painting in the series represents one of the nine attributes of God as described in Galatians 5:
Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness,
and
Self-Control.
Created through prayer, worship, and the layering of scripture within the canvas, the works are designed to stir the heart—inviting viewers into a space of calm reflection and spiritual encounter.
The journey began in 2019, inspired by a moment of stillness in her parents’ garden while reading the book of Galatians. The series took shape during the isolation of Covid lockdowns in Brighton and was completed more recently in Jersey. Each brushstroke, accompanied by Dan Musselman’s Fruit of the Holy Spirit worship music, became both a prayer and a meditation—turning every canvas into a creative expression of faith.
