JH Members' event – Tour of Bosdet stained glass windows
Join us for a special morning tour celebrating the remarkable stained-glass artistry of Jersey-born artist
Henry Thomas Bosdet
-(1856-1934), with our Director of Curation and Experience, Louise Downie.
Bosdet was a gifted draughtsman, student, and later teacher at the Royal Academy in London—one of the world’s most prestigious art institutions. His stained glass work remains among the most beautiful in the Island’s churches, where the interplay of light and colour brings centuries-old stories vividly to life.
This exclusive JH Members' tour offers a unique opportunity to see some of Bosdet’s finest stained glass windows, each housed in a different parish church:
St Martin’s Parish Church
– The Nativity
St Lawrence Church
– The Last Supper (we will stop here for a tea and coffee break)
St Aubin’s on the Hill
– The Wedding Feast at Cana
St Brelade’s Church
– The Good Shepherd
Don’t miss this inspiring journey through light, history, and one of Jersey’s finest artistic legacies.
