As the political and administrative centre, many of the Island’s historic events took place in and around St Helier. This was certainly true during wartime, leaving a host of places and stories with a fascinating military connection. Join historian and guide Ian Ronayne on this walk around the west of town to discover and learn about some of these, from the road-building Napoleonic general to Occupation harbour-blocking guns, and from a lost cemetery to life-giving Red Cross parcels.
