Holme Grown is a farm shop in Jersey that has evolved from a roadside barrow to a comprehensive retail outlet. The Payn family, with a century-long history of growing tomatoes in the Vingtaine of La Rocque, diversified their Fauvic Nurseries into a farm shop and wholesale outlet due to external market factors. The shop emphasizes fresh, seasonal, organic, and handmade food from in-house specialists and local artisan producers. They are active growers of tomatoes, salad crops like cucumbers, melons, peppers, lettuces, rocket salad, and a wide array of herbs, many produced on-site in season. Holme Grown considers itself the largest herb grower on the island.
Beyond the farm shop, Holme Grown now encompasses a Green Grocery, Butchery, Bakery, Gardening section, Pet supplies, Pottery, an Artist Studio, and 'Stanley's' Cafe. They also offer an online shop with a range of products including fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, freshly baked bread, and cupboard essentials, offering next-day delivery. The establishment aims to provide a unique shopping and dining experience, priding itself on being 'Britain's Most Southerly Farm Shop'. Future plans include a new Jersey Hospice shop on the premises.
