Awabi brings the atmosphere of Asia's late-night drinking dens to Jersey, serving modern pan-Asian food within the context of a European wine bar. It aims to be a blend of a friendly local Japanese Izakaya, Parisian wine bar, Korean soju tent, and British gastropub, all located in the centre of St Helier.

The restaurant focuses on creating Asian-fusion dishes using local ingredients, bringing together favorite dishes from Asia's finest restaurants and humble street food markets under one roof. The name 'Awabi', or ormer as it's known locally, is a sea snail considered a delicacy in both Jersey and Asia, symbolizing the restaurant's goal of connecting Eastern and Western culinary traditions.
