The Jersey Surf School is the longest-running surf school in Jersey and has established itself as one of the most reputable surf schools in the UK. They offer a variety of programs, including performance programs, a junior lifesaver program, and summer camps. All instructors are RNLI lifeguards, experienced surfers, and ISA qualified.

They cater to all levels, from young, inexperienced juniors learning in the calmer waters at the south end of the slipway in St. Ouen's Bay, to more advanced surfers looking to tackle open, green-faced waves at the main peak at chicken wire. Since 2023, they also offer a Junior Lifesaver Programme for children aged 7 and up, teaching beach safety, rescue skills, and water confidence. The school operates from a converted World War Two German spotlight bunker at Le Braye, St Ouen's Bay.

After visiting my parents in Jersey several times, my 13 year old daughter has always been keen to try surfing. Although a good swimmer, she was unsure about being in the sea. I contacted Jake and told him about my daughter’s reservations. He was very helpful and recommended the Surf Mini Camp. On the first day, she was hesitant, however, we could see after a short time she was loving her time in water. The staff were great. Friendly, fun, and encouraging with the children. There was clearly various age groups with various abilities, but the staff were fantastic at ensuring everyone was given even short times of 1-2-1.
Outwith attending the camp, we couldn’t get my daughter out of the sea for the week we were in Jersey. She was confident enough to go in swimming and even did coasteering!
She had an added bonus of making a friend at the camp. They swapped numbers
and hope to keep in touch.
We will definitely be back for another camp next summer. Thank you

Vanessa was brilliant in the big waves we had. Got my son up and standing in the lesson and it was great fun.

I recently booked a 3 person lesson for my Wife, Son and Me. It was all last minute but Jake was very accommodating.
The school supplied all the equipment and all the staff were super friendly and gave a relaxed but professional atmosphere.
We had great fun in the sea with expert tuition from Tahlia who gave some good tips and advice that enabled us to get up on our boards.
We will definitely be returning.

We had an amazing time during our family surfing lesson. Charlotte, our instructor was great and had the kids standing by their second wave 🌊
We would definitely recommend for all the family.
