Val de la Mare, located in Jersey, Channel Islands, encompasses both a significant reservoir and a notable arboretum, offering a tranquil escape with beautiful walking trails. The Val de la Mare Arboretum, situated above St. Ouen's Bay, is a haven for nature enthusiasts, featuring ten diverse tree collections from around the world, including many rare and endangered species. Established in 1975 and now managed by Jersey Trees for Life, the arboretum is rich in birdlife and other fauna, such as red squirrels, lizards, and various insects. Visitors can explore several walking routes, the longest of which is a 2.8-mile circuit, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and scenic views.
