Details

Jersey Walk Adventures offers guided intertidal walks on the seabed in Jersey, Channel Islands, to locations such as Seymour and Icho Towers. These walks, sometimes referred to as "moonwalks," take place in an internationally recognized Ramsar Wetlands site, which is a marine equivalent of the Jersey National Park. Participants can explore a landscape teeming with marine life, including shellfish, crabs, anemones, and starfish, and learn about the area's rich maritime history from experienced local guides.

In addition to the seabed walks, Jersey Walk Adventures provides a variety of other guided experiences. These include rock pool explorations, bioluminescence walks to observe glowing marine creatures at night, seaweed foraging tours to discover edible seaweeds, and oyster trails where participants can learn about oyster and mussel beds and sample fresh Jersey oysters. Walks are available throughout the year, with options for individuals, families, and private groups, and online booking is essential as group sizes are kept small.

Our guide Trudi told us a lot about the marine life in the tidal zone. We had a great walk to Icho-Tower. We only can recommend to book a walk at Jersey Walk adventures! We will be definitely back for another walk!!!!

We did the Seymour Tower walk with Sheila and were very impressed by her marine biology knowledge: shells, seaweed and crustaceans. She explains harvesting seaweed for fertilizer, and also nearby oyster beds. For this landlubber, it's amazing to walk miles on a seabed that will be below 20-40 feet of ocean in a few hours. The tower has stood there since 1782!

A brilliant morning out walking to seymour tower! We learned so much about the sea shore, saw some lovely creatures, and enjoyed tasting the delicious seaweeds. We had ages 8 to 70 in our group, locals and visitors, and there was something for everyone. Huge thanks to our great guide!
