People's Park in St. Helier, Jersey, is a large open green space popular with fitness instructors and event organizers. Established in 1865, it was intended as a place for islanders to enjoy quiet promenades and peaceful enjoyment, a purpose it has served for over 150 years. The park features bench seating, open grass areas, a children's play park, and fitness apparatus.
The park is a significant venue for many of Jersey's largest events, including the Battle of Flowers fun fair, food festivals, music festivals, the International Motoring Festival, and Liberation Day celebrations. It has also been given a Grade Three listing by the Planning Department due to its historical significance as a mid-late 19th-century naturalistic seaside public park. Throughout its history, the park has played a central role in the community, even being used to grow potatoes during the Occupation to help feed residents.
