The Potato Shack is a family-run café and coffee shop located at the entrance to Woodlands Farm, a working dairy farm in the heart of Jersey. It emphasizes farm-to-table dining, serving dishes made with fresh produce sourced directly from the surrounding fields. Visitors can enjoy a variety of meals, light snacks, homemade cakes, and Monmouth coffee in a charming granite building with ample outdoor seating.
In addition to the café, there's an honesty box offering fresh Jersey Royal potatoes and other seasonal produce from April through August. The farm itself, run by the Le Boutillier family for five generations, also includes a butchery and produces artisanal gelato and other dairy products. While the dairy farm is not open to the public for safety reasons, the cows can often be seen grazing in the field opposite The Potato Shack.
