The Potato Shack is a family-run café and coffee shop located at the entrance to Woodlands Farm, a working dairy farm in the heart of Jersey. It emphasizes farm-to-table dining, serving dishes made with fresh produce sourced directly from the surrounding fields. Visitors can enjoy a variety of meals, light snacks, homemade cakes, and Monmouth coffee in a charming granite building with ample outdoor seating.
In addition to the café, there's an honesty box offering fresh Jersey Royal potatoes and other seasonal produce from April through August. The farm itself, run by the Le Boutillier family for five generations, also includes a butchery and produces artisanal gelato and other dairy products. While the dairy farm is not open to the public for safety reasons, the cows can often be seen grazing in the field opposite The Potato Shack.

I own a number of businesses and I never visited a place I could not improve in some way.... Well now I have!!!! Decor, appearance, friendliness, quality of furnishings, quality of food, quality of staff... Absolute perfection!!!.

We actually visited this farm to see the cows and just popped in to get drink before we left.
I love coffee and drink it black so I know good coffee and this was good coffee.
Decided to get a few ice creams, as guessed it was made local. The Chocolate ice cream is the best I have ever tasted. Seems weird to mention how good the chocolate ice cream was but they just nailed it..I 100% guarantee it can't be bettered...if I could import it I would...it's that extraordinarily good
Anyhow, food was matched by perfect service. No pomp, just fantastic attentive friendly service that left you feeling you just want to stay longer.
This review sounds like I must know the owners, I don't, I live in Surrey and was simply on my hols.
100% recommend.
Owners of this business just understand what customers want.
Update- been a couple of years now since last visit but nothing has changed... Good still great, ice cream still great and sort friendly staff😊
