Details

The Royal Jersey Golf Club, established in 1878 and granted its royal status a year later, is a historic links-style course situated on the eastern coast of Jersey in Grouville Bay. The course, also known as Grouville Links, is set on Grouville Common, a beautiful expanse of sandy heathland. It has a rich history, with famous golfers like Harry Vardon and Ted Ray having started their careers here. The 18-hole course measures 6,177 yards from the tips with a par of 70 (71 for ladies) and offers a challenge to golfers of all abilities, especially when the sea breeze is a factor. The layout includes five par 3s and is known for its opening holes that run alongside the beach, offering stunning views of Mont Orgueil Castle and the French coastline.

The clubhouse at Royal Jersey provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for members, guests, and visitors. It features two bars and a restaurant that underwent major refurbishment in 2020, maintaining a traditional feel with contemporary touches. The clubhouse and its terrace overlook the 17th and 18th greens, Mont Orgueil Castle, and the distant French coastline. The club can accommodate various social occasions for its members, with a capacity of up to 110 seated guests. Visitors are welcome at specific times throughout the week, and facilities include a professional shop, trolley and buggy hire (medical certificate required for buggies), and changing rooms with shower facilities.
