Details

Queen's Valley Reservoir is Jersey's largest and newest reservoir, completed in November 1991 and owned by Jersey Water. It actually consists of two reservoirs, with the lower section being significantly larger. The reservoir has a maximum holding capacity of 1,193 megalitres of untreated water, enough to supply Jersey for approximately 48 days.

The site is open to the public for enjoyment and features several walking routes, the longest of which is a 1.9-mile (3.1km) circuit. It's a place rich in flora and fauna, offering opportunities to spot various bird species like moorhen, mallard ducks, and cormorants, as well as other wildlife in the surrounding woodlands and hedgerows. While generally suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs, visitors should be mindful of potentially slippery surfaces and some inclines.

Now I love this place anyway. It's a beautiful, nice little nature walk not to taxing to walk it either. When I went, I went to visit the exhibition of the floating earth which was lovely to see
