Details

Archirondel Beach, located on the northeast coast of Jersey, is a popular shingle and sand beach known for its distinctive red and white Martello Tower and a breakwater. The breakwater, originally part of a larger harbour project that was never completed, now provides shelter from strong winds and waves, making the beach a good spot for families. At low tide, an expanse of soft golden sand and rock pools are revealed, perfect for sandcastles, exploring, or simply relaxing. The beach offers calm waters ideal for swimming, snorkelling, and kayaking, though caution is advised at high tide as the beach shelves steeply and pebbles can be slippery.

Aside from its natural beauty, Archirondel Beach has historical significance with its Martello Tower, which serves as a navigational daymark. Remnants of German gun emplacements from the Second World War can also be found nearby. The beach is well-equipped with facilities including a café, toilets, and parking. It's a favored spot for both locals and visitors, offering stunning views, especially in the morning light, and opportunities for various water activities. Dogs are permitted year-round but must be kept on leads during specific hours from May to September.
