Details

Havre Des Pas Bathing Pool is an iconic outdoor swimming facility on the island of Jersey, originally constructed by The Jersey Swimming Club and opened in 1895. This tidal pool fills with fresh seawater with each high tide and features well-maintained swimming areas, including a shallower children's pool and a central platform for jumping and diving. The surrounding art deco-style boardwalks, cafes, and restaurants offer stunning coastal views, making it a popular destination for locals and tourists alike for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxation.

The facility is a hub of activity, hosting events like water polo and the annual Christmas Day swim. While generally a safe and inviting environment, the children's pool can be fully covered during high tides, so visitors with young children may want to check tide times in advance. The area is steeped in local character and provides amenities to ensure a comfortable experience, though it's noted as not being wheelchair or pushchair friendly.

A good place to spent a whole day over there. Nice outdoors tidal pool so you can enjoy your swim in the sea but in a bit warmer water. I really enjoy my every trip there.

Great location to swim should it be low tide, it's just such a shame nothing is done to police those who obnoxiously play their music at high volumes.

Better maintenance needs to happen too, often the steps into the water are very slippery and even with the hand rail pose a threat to injury.

Lovely lido, the water is warm enough to comfortably swim in August. Good facilities ie toilets, changing rooms and showers and a nearby cafe. Lifeguards. This might seem obvious to some but the lido is only truly available at low/medium tide and it is basically under the sea completely at high tide so check the tide times online.
