A fabulous example of a Georgian House. Beautifully restored and the video through time showed the different parts of the house’s life well. As members it was free, but I would pay to visit this gem. Staff were wonderful!

A painstakingly restored National Trust house with an intriguing history. Beautifully presented with a strong storyline and rich with examples of life in Jersey post the Napoleonic wars. The story starts in the kitchen and this is very well done, setting the scene for the rest of the house visit. Helpful and knowledgeable guides are available around the house. Well worth a visit.

Beautifully restored and presented and the lady taking the guise of cook to describe the Georgian kitchen was superb!

Hidden away in the main shopping area of St. Helier is a beautiful fully restored Georgian house that is a real gem. The house also includes videos of the restoration process which shows the original state of the building when the National Trust for Jersey took ownership, and explains the valuable donation which made the full restoration possible. The house is fully equipped for the period and expert volunteers are on hand to enhance the whole experience. A visit is highly recommended.

Part of our exploring of St. Helier included the National Trust (16 New Street), well worth a visit and the guide within the kitchen area was excellent. An interesting history and so glad it's been restored.
