Jersey Lavender Farm is a working agricultural enterprise set on the gentle slopes above St Brelade, renowned for its peaceful beauty and welcoming atmosphere. This family-run farm, established in 1983, cultivates acres of fragrant lavender, alongside rosemary, eucalyptus, and bay laurel, providing a sensory escape and a unique insight into the island's botanical offerings. The meticulous care given to the nine acres of fields is particularly evident during the peak flowering season, usually from late June through July, when the landscape transforms into a vibrant swathe of purple, standing out as a tranquil spot for visitors to connect with nature.
Visitors can wander through the beautiful lavender fields and charming gardens, which provide a serene setting for a leisurely stroll. A key attraction is the working distillery, where guests can discover the fascinating process of extracting essential oils, with daily informative talks offered during the harvest season from mid-June to the end of August. For families, a 'Discovery Nature Trail' with engaging questions offers a fun way for both adults and children to explore the farm. Refreshments are available at Sprigs Café, serving light lunches, cream teas, and cakes, some subtly flavoured with lavender, whilst the Sprigs Shop provides an array of farm-made lavender products and local gifts.
The farm makes for an ideal family-friendly attraction, perfectly suiting nature enthusiasts and those seeking a relaxing day out amidst calming aromas and scenic views. The farm is much larger than it appears from the road, with a gift shop, tea room with a veranda, and extensive gardens/fields of lavender behind the buildings. There are chickens roaming around, and a lovely ginger cat, whom we only saw from a distance :) There is an informative video playing in the distillery about the process of extracting lavender oil, which I enjoyed. The lavender products are lovely and this is a great place to buy gifts if travelling. All the staff we met with were super friendly. Calm and tranquil oasis to recharge along the walk from St Aubin’s to Corbière. Highly recommend it, even if you are only in Jersey for a few days.

Sadly I ordered just a cup of tea at the end of my visit and they took so long to get to my table that I had to leave because I would miss my flight back home otherwise. I don't blame the team cause they were really friendly, there wasn't just enough staff for so many tables in my opinion. I left after 30 minutes.
The farm itself, is beautiful, quite big and you get to learn new things about lavender in general as they have an audio guide aswell, i'd recommend it if you want to relax and visit something original!
Ps. the tortoise is a little bit to the north of the farm:)
