On the east facing sweeping beach, this is one of several military towers that punctuate an otherwise flat coastal landscape. Suburban houses and flats run right up to the sea wall, but you can walk along the beach or concrete apron. Great views to Gouray Castle in the north and out across the many granite outcrops that puncture the surface of the ocean. The privately owned site also features a German gunner's bunker, searchlight platform and the remains of the cannon platform that accompanied the tower.
