Great view of the wetlands with lots of information on what you're looking at. I was lucky enough to see a Marsh Harrier. Friendly coffee shop opposite if you need the toilet too!

Unfortunately it closes from 21st September so I cannot really comment on how good or not this venue is. Don't go until 1st March as that is when it reopens. The area on the beach side of the road with low scrub was quite productive re birdlife.

This area is dotted with bunker and machine gun posts. Many are extremely well hidden. In one of the photos I'll post there were 7 I counted. If Allies had invaded here instead of Normandy it would have been disaster. The whole area was a killing field. I've visited Normandy and this areas defences were even deadlier. Overlapping fields volume of bunkers etc. Definitely worth a visit but be prepared for a walk it's 3 miles plus long.

We stopped at The National Trust for Jersey Wetland Centre as it was the end of our walk from La Corbière. It looked rather unassuming from the outside, but walk through the door and it’s a very impressive setup. There are a range of different hides to watch the wildlife, all set within an old bunker. There is plenty of information, and a live camera feed too, which allows you to zoom right in on the many different birds and animals at the site. It’s small, but really worth a stop if you’re in the area.

Really interesting free bird hide with lots of information and excellent viewing opportunities, as well as cameras to identify wildlife around the pond close-up.
