We had a rock-solid time at the Island Centre Stone! It’s truly the bedrock of local history and left us feeling boulder than ever. Standing there, you really get the sedimentary layers of time – it’s a gneiss reminder of how deep our past runs. The atmosphere was marble-ous, and we were absolutely seduced by sediment. The stone itself is granite-tude personified – ancient, steady, and grounding. It’s the kind of place that really makes you take things for granite. Our only stumbling block was the signage – it could be a bit clearer. At one point, we felt like we were between a rock and a hard place trying to find it. Still, once you’re there, it’s pure gem-stone joy. Highly recommend if you want an experience that truly rocks! Historic stone said to mark the centre of the Island
