St Brelade's Bay Hotel

Haven’t stayed in the hotel, but I’ve gone for Sunday lunch and the food is fantastic! All three courses were amazing and did not disappoint. Highly recommend, but definitely a bit on the expensive side.

It was our 1st visit to this hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
The staff were ALL friendly and helpful.
The hotel is in a wonderful position opposite a sandy beach, and in fantastic grounds.
There's so many places to sit and lounge on the comfy sofas.
Swimming pools, inside and out. Gym, saunas etc.
Food was well presented and absolutely gorgeous.
Large car park.

We had our wedding here, Caitlyn and the team couldn't do enough for us. It was incredible from start to finish and the attention to every detail was amazing. The food was delicious and the portions were incredible, everyone left stuffed. The hotel itself is beautiful with stunning views of the beach and the rooms are clean and nice. Can't recommend enough.

Had a lovely week stay here when it was hot hot hot! Rooms did get very hot so we were provided with fans which made it easier.
Breakfast was exceptional, hotel so clean throughout and the outdoor pool set up and garden was fantastic and welcoming. Gym and indoor pool are a great addition.
So many staff around and all so friendly and chatty.
We didn’t dine in the hotel too often but when we did we found the children’s menu suitable and the bar menu to our liking. It was easy to ask for amendments ( extra veg etc ) for our two year old.
Rooms serviced everyday which is a nice touch and toiletries around the hotel were very plush.
Small playroom for children which is very welcoming when you need a play break for little ones to plan the rest of your day .

The location is perfect for strolling to the beach with steps and a slope access if needed just a short walk away. Bus services right outside the hotel for adventures and a local shop and coffee hatch nearby for early morning walks along the beach.

Really happy with our stay here and would come back again.

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. On arrival I could not hear the receptionist very well, who was not at all motivated, and when I explained this to the Management he said in a very loud and aggressive voice that I was a racist for everyone to hear. He was unprofessional and very impolite (Mr Thomas Browning). His lack of manners and professionalism leave a lot to be desired.

1. The balcony floor was absolutely filthy dirty. Covered in Seagull poo. The hotel sent a cleaner.
2. The most noisiest room I have ever stayed in. Loud live music until midnight on the floor below and the floor above me was very noisy, toilet flushing and people walking everywhere.
I was so disgusted in the Hotel Management I left the following morning. They should hang their heads in shame.

We went to celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary. The tour company had emailed the hotel as we booked to request that the stay was made special for us.
It was certainly made memorable rather than special, on arrival we found we didn’t have a room. We sat in reception, largely devoid of staff for the most part, for 1 hour 20mins not knowing how they intended to remedy the situation. Our booking was for balcony and sea view.
Eventually we were shown to a room, small with a rather grubby poorly maintained balcony with deteriorated rubberoid waterproofing on the floor.
We went for breakfast the following morning, sat in the window enjoying the views when a team of decorators started painting the front elevation blocking that view with ladders, canopies and themselves. They were so close when they were doing the window reveals we were party to what they’d had for breakfast and done the night before. This carried on for 4 days then solvents were added to the mix with fumes filling the breakfast room, to the point a member of staff remarked to his colleague “let’s get the door open before we gas someone”. I’ve asthma so I had to abort breakfast to avoid a medical episode.
We then had the fridge turned off in the room, by a member of staff by accident I’m presuming ,spoiling foodstuffs/snacks as we didn’t notice until the following day.
Thankfully neither of us require any medication that needs to be kept cool or that would have been a problem.
The outside pool and facilities were closed, apparently waiting for a part, and aren’t expected to open until month end we were told.
There also doesn’t seem to be much in the way of concierge service to say the place seems to think it’s high end.
On the plus side: the gardens and grounds are magnificent, a pleasure to walk around and sit in. The setting is superb with views across the bay. The breakfast buffet and offerings from the kitchen are good. We only took one dinner but that also was good.
The staff, apart from the odd one on reception, were very friendly and efficient and spent a lot of time apologising for the treatment we’d received.
We were told by a couple of island residents that had worked there in the past that they weren’t surprised they’d seen similar things.
There did seem to be more and different staff about to the end of our holiday and things did seem to be running better. We weren’t hearing as many people complaining as we passed through reception.
The hotel certainly ruined our anniversary, and that in my view lays with the level of management ability on display. We did receive a card from the manager admitting fault and apologising but this was an 11 day holiday for a special occasion surely they could have got us a standard average room rather than what we had.
However they didn’t ruin our holiday, the island is great, we hired a car and just used the hotel as a rather expensive base for breakfast and sleep. Perhaps we came a couple of weeks early, they certainly didn’t seem to be operating on a fully open basis but again I’d say that’s how it’s managed and to be blunt that should not be our problem.
I’ve no doubt if you arrive, get the room you’ve booked straight away, there are no contractors in the mix and the outdoor facilities are open you’ll have a great holiday.
If that had been our experience our rating would be 5 star plus not 3 stars.

Stayed with three friends on the winter offer. Loved every minute of our stay. The rooms were well appointed and we were able to sit on our balconies enjoying the stunning view in the sunshine.
The food was incredible and it was difficult to choose from all the dishes on offer. The included cream tea was amazing too.
However it was the staff that really made our stay. By the second morning Leo knew our room numbers and escorted us to our table. One of our party used to teach languages and she loved that he talked to her in Italian. All the staff went above and beyond without fawning, which I dislike. A special shout out to Kevin who was a "knight in shining armour" when one of our party was unwell. You could tell that they loved their jobs and that they were valued by guests and management.
We will be back.

This hotel is hard to fault. The most amazing location with beautiful gardens, lovely pool area, poolside cafe and a beach to die for. There are cafes and restaurants just a short walk away but the hotel food was so good and well priced we dined every night in the hotel. Rooms are great, staff were great and the general feel about the place made us feel right at home.

Just back from the most glorious few days away at the beautiful St Brelades Bay Hotel. The hotel for us was faultless, from the location, to our room, to breakfast, to the beautiful swimming pool. It was all fantastic. A special mention must be given to all of the staff who go out of their way to ensure you have the best stay. We will be returning. Thank you again ⭐

There is no better hotel on Jersey for view and location ….but don’t tell anyone otherwise it will become too busy! Really loved our stay there. I even forgot my shirt and they found it for me and promised to return it! Staff are excellent. Also try the fish and chips. It’s the best I’ve had!

Spent 4 nights here on a short winter break with my partner in a room with the balcony and sea view. My god what a hotel. It’s extremely beautiful, both outside and inside. The rooms are so quaint with the right amount of amenities and space. The staff are extremely polite and friendly, not that you’d expect anything less but it has to be mentioned. The balcony room was something else, it is a premium price but so worth it. Me and my partner occasionally sat on the balcony despite the cold weather overlooking St Brelade. It was magical.

I also highly recommend the breakfast option. It was no joke some of the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The hash browns, toast and sausages especially were to die for. We had it delivered to our room in the morning, which for a small charge of £5 worked well for us.

The use of the amenities on sight too is a plus. Being a gym rat myself, being able to use the gym was very welcoming. It’s a lovely gym with some great views and never got too busy.

Overall highly recommended especially if you can afford the balcony view room. Will stay here again next time no doubt. Thank you!!!

We stayed here for my 59th birthday & had the most amazing stay.
The rooms were brilliant,comfy bed,spacious & great shower.
The food was to die for & all the staff were brilliant.
I would highly recommend staying here.
We will definitely be going back.
