Arroz offers a captivating and authentic Spanish dining experience. Located on The Parade, this stylish restaurant occupies the ground floor of a beautifully transformed space, exuding a distinct 'earthy' Mediterranean ambiance. Guests are welcomed by a feature olive tree, leading into an interior adorned with a warm palette of burnt orange and neutral tones, creating a contemporary yet inviting atmosphere. The open theatre kitchen allows diners to observe the culinary artistry firsthand, while varied seating, including high tables by oval windows and comfortable banquettes, ensures a delightful setting for all. Arroz also hopes to provide outdoor seating in the future, further enhancing its appeal as a warm and lively corner of St Helier.

Arroz, meaning "rice" in Spanish, places this staple at the very core of its modern Spanish menu, emphasizing fresh ingredients and dishes designed for sharing. Popular culinary highlights include classic tapas, such as Jersey Rock Oysters, local Zamburinas (scallops with Salsa Verde), and Patatas Bravas. The restaurant truly shines with its signature paellas, meticulously prepared in a bespoke brick stand in the open kitchen using authentic Valencian DOP rice, notably the Paella Bogavante featuring local lobster, squid, and seafood stock. Beyond savoury delights, the dessert menu offers traditional Spanish treats like Arroz con leche and Tarta Santiago. To complement the exquisite food, Arroz boasts a comprehensive drinks list celebrating the best of Spanish wines, vibrant sangrias, and expertly crafted cocktails.

This welcoming establishment is ideally suited for a diverse range of diners and occasions. Its emphasis on shared plates and a lively atmosphere makes it perfect for gatherings with friends, family meals, or relaxed celebrations. Arroz also caters to larger organised events and even offers full venue takeovers for private occasions, with the team capable of creating bespoke menus around tapas, paella, and sharing plates. Whether you're seeking a special occasion venue, a vibrant spot for a birthday, or simply an authentic taste of Spain in a sophisticated setting, Arroz provides an inviting space to bring people together for a memorable dining experience.

Went here on a recommendation from a friend. However we were deeply disappointed. First of all the servers were all fantastic. They were all smiley and happy and greeted us in a warm manner.

However the food was extremely disappointing. The chorizo tapas was three small chorizo with some arugula for 10 pounds. The flavour was good however the portion was not worth the price.

The paella was the most disappointing part of it all. The rice was completely burnt on the bottom. It was the thinnest layer of rice about 4 very small chicken pieces, some split peas and a few beans. Apparently there was supposed to be some rabbit in it but i definitely didn’t see any. I almost laughed when I saw it but kept my composure. I let my partner have most of the protein as he as hungry so I definitely left hungry. 44 pounds for burnt rice and a few bits of chicken was super disappointing.

The lighting is so bright that it feels like you’re in a football stadium. Dim the lights a bit and maybe put out some candles to give it some ambiance. A picture or two on the walls would make it look a bit more inviting. Just felt cold inside. Not the temperature but just the general decor and terrible lighting made it feel cold and uninviting.

Will definitely not be coming back or recommending it to people…sorry

But would like to reiterate that the servers were all super sweet and i couldn’t bring myself to tell them how disappointed I was when asked how everything was.

My partner and I dined at Arroz last night and we were delighted with our experience here. The food was so tasty and the portions were just right. The staff were great and attentive. I would definitely recommend this new spot for a date night, it has the perfect vibe! :) (it was busy so we had bar seats but we knew about this before hand and It didn’t change how good our experience was)

We decided to check out the newly opened Arroz restaurant in Jersey. Having been to Spain many times, we were curious to see how authentic the food would be.

Staff were very friendly, that’s definitely a big plus. It feels like a spot with good potential.

The tapas were quite tasty and fresh. Small disappointment was the paella with chicken and rabbit (£44). It looked very different from a traditional Spanish paella We got mostly rice with just a few pieces of meat. The taste was dominated by rice, lacking the rich flavors and depth we usually associate with authentic paella.
Honestly, just type “paella” into Google and you’ll see the difference — Spanish paellas are much more generous and flavorful
