The staff are very welcoming and were helpful and pleasant throughout our stay, in all areas of the hotel. This makes a huge difference to the vibe of a hotel .. this one has a positive upbeat feel.
Although we did not use the spa, I did use the pool. The whole area was very tranquil and had everything you needed.
Our room overlooked the museum and cafe, so had a lovely ambient vibe out on the balcony above a little cafe.
You can't really see the marina or sea, though they do have a roof top terrace we didnt use that probably has lovely views over the city.
The room was spacious, clean and very comfy.
The breakfast was amazing with a large buffet choice and freshly cooked items on request.
The hotel is centrally located for all the cafes and bars, so is surrounded by the buzz of happy people. Would not suit those looking for a quiet, tranquil spot.
It's close to the bus station, with easy access to the rest of the island. There is also a taxi rank right outside.
A lovely and lively place to stay.
Next year we will definitely go elsewhere.
Both times we've stayed in the Platinum rooms which overlook the bar and harbour area and we've had an amazing stay. The rooms were well equipped with comfy king size beds, minibar, very roomy and amazing views. Breakfast is very good and pretty extensive.
Last time out we tried the grill night in the steak restaurant and the meal was fantastic. The spa and pool area and gym are also very well equipped and excellent quality. All round this is a great location and an amazing place to stay in St Hellier, you can walk pretty much anywhere from the hotel and the bus station is only a few minutes from the hotel if you are travelling around the island by bus.
Lower floor rooms can be noisey from the bar below . We moved to the 5th which was a lot quieter . 😊 Overall a lovely hotel
Stayed at the Royal Yacht and Spa in Jersey and overall had a really pleasant time. The room was comfortable, though we did have an unexpected visit from a very friendly pigeon one evening — gave it a gentle escort out and all was well!
Breakfast was excellent — plenty of choice and good quality. There was a bit of background music drifting up now and then, but nothing too disruptive.
Would definitely return. It’s a stylish, well-located spot and makes a solid base for exploring Jersey.
The hotel is in an excellent geographical location, just a few minutes walk from the town centre and the bus station (more on the location later).
Every single member of staff we encountered was super polite and friendly.
Our room was spotless and had plenty of amenities.
And the breakfast was fantastic.
So why only a three star review?
We stayed for two nights.
On Saturday evening and Sunday morning, we had no hot water!
Naturally we brought this to the hotel's attention. On both occasions, they sent someone to the room to verify this and on both occasions, they said they would contact maintenence but this didn't help us at the time.
Also, the hotel was very busy due to a large birthday celebration.
This meant queuing in the hallway for twenty minutes to get in for breakfast.
There were plenty of available tables when we got in, but nowhere near enough staff to deal with the amount of people.
Our room overlooked the street to the left of the property which has many bars and takeaway venues.
On the Saturday night in particular, it was very noisy well into the early hours of the morning.
Closing the window drowned most of it out but if we were there in the summer, this would have been a real problem.
I'm aware this is beyond the hotel's control - I'm merely recounting my own personal experience.
So whilst the hotel had it's attributes, would I go back?
I'm afraid not....

I had a fantastic stay at The Royal Yacht Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Jersey. Even though these were just 2 night for business purposes I'm sure I will return here with family.
The location is absolutely perfect, situated right by the marina and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The beautiful waterfront setting makes it a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the island.
What really made the stay exceptional was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality made me feel valued from check-in to departure.
The hotel also offers excellent value for money. The quality of the accommodation, service, and facilities easily exceeds expectations for the price.
Breakfast was another highlight. There was a great selection of fresh and delicious options, catering to different tastes and providing a perfect start to each day.
The facilities are excellent, with well-maintained leisure areas and everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The overall atmosphere is charming, clean, and inviting.
I would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend The Royal Yacht Hotel to both leisure and business travelers looking for a memorable stay in a superb location. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
