Old meets new inside, comfortable seating and a log fire! Bonus! Nice range of local art work too.
We skipped starters and went straight to main course, both excellent and very tasty!
Dessert which was banoffee pie was a little to sweet for our liking.
Followed up with coffee.

Only very minor complaint was the toilet was a bit grubby, but I guess it's because they are old.
My first impression of The Vic in the Valley was very positive. It’s a lovely pub with a welcoming atmosphere and plenty of character.
On arrival, we were left waiting at the bar for quite some time to order drinks and food. It appeared that only one member of staff was serving across two bar areas, so although the wait was noticeable, it was understandable. Once we were attended to, the greeting was warm and friendly, and we were shown to our table.
The food arrived promptly and was served hot. Overall, the meal was tasty and enjoyable, although nothing particularly stood out as exceptional. It was good, honest pub food that was perfectly acceptable and pleasant to eat.
I had ordered onion rings as a side, but they never arrived. At first, I assumed they would follow shortly after the main courses were served, but unfortunately they did not appear. After we had finished eating, I mentioned this to the member of staff, who apologised and admitted that they had forgotten to add them to the order.
The cider on draught was excellent and very enjoyable. Unfortunately, the Coke was flat, and although it was replaced without issue, the replacement was also flat.
Overall, our visit left us with mixed feelings. There were certainly positives, including the friendly service, pleasant surroundings, and hot food. However, the long wait to order, the forgotten side order, and the flat drinks took the shine off the experience.
Would I visit again? Probably not as a destination in itself, but if I were visiting Jersey again and happened to be passing, I would consider stopping in.
