Weekday evening: Great food, excellent service and got 20% off using the discount envelopes. Steak was great value and perfectly cooked medium rare.
Sunday breakfast: lovely breakfast, coffee and orange juice and a fabukois deal by paying before 11am and being a Liberation account holder. Great service again and our waitress had picked up one of our group had a gluten intolerance from the booking and mentioned it as soon as we walked in.
Consistently great service and love the Five Oaks.
To note I was also at another Liberation group pub the same week, and again excellent food and service.
The burger and sticky toffee pudding were probably the best I've tasted in a long while and the thick chips were phenomenal!
We booked a table as it was our first visit to this pub and didn't know how busy it would be on a Thursday night.
It's a large pub and the bar area was full (bingo was at 8pm) but we were seated in another area which was slightly screened from the drinking area.
A lovely pub with very attentive and friendly staff - we even spoke to the chef through the service pass as he ended his shift!
We will come back again.
EDIT: came back in June with family. Another fabulous meal (I had half chicken, chips and salad from specials and hubby had pie again - it was beef this time!).
Booking was easy online - did it same day!
