Great place, very helpful staff. They certainly catered for our needs when we popped in over the weekend with 2 elderly parents, both with sight and mobility issues. Food was good and everyone happy. The only criticism was the instant smell of old cooking oil when entering the main door, and that was evident in the fish and chips. The batter was dark brown, firm and the kind of taste you would expect from old oil being used.

Had a fantastic meal at Le Hocq today. Carvery was cooked to perfection and served with a smile. Just when you think you can’t eat any more, they come round and tempt you with extra roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings. Great little local. We will definitely be back 🍽️

Staff are great, always happy to help and they remember you, when you visit. The service was great we sat down and they came over to take drink order, the food was great as always, good size portions too. Lots to choose from and will cater for special requirements such as gluten free, vegetarian etc. Nice for a catch up meal or just a solo dinner after a busy day

Brilliant Pie night despite it being 30c. On an evening the shaded outside was perfect. Lovely choice of gorgeous pies. Beef. Chicken fish and veg. Alowed to go back for seconds. They were busy but service was attentive and lovely and friendly. Would definitely go again and maybe try Sunday carvery. Thank you for making our wedding anniversary pub meal lovely.

Had the best of everything at this gorgeous place, right across from the beach. We sat inside but tables available out for the stunning view. Plenty of Gluten free options, I had the most awesome burger. Don’t forget the apple & fennel coleslaw on the side too. Great service, food, looking forward to returning soon. Top marks to all staff. Well done

Little treat night out as belated birthday event. Le hocq is on our bus route so cheeky meal out with a drink planned. Well what a treat! Fabulous calamari starters. Perfectly cooked and presented. I loved my special of gammon ( sooo tasty) hubby had sea bass. Cleaned both plates. Really enjoyed our bottle of Malbec especially as the app gave me 20 quid off our drinks as it was within 14 days of my birthday. Service was tip top. A very enjoyable night out that we should do more often. Highly recommend

Popped in for a snack at lunchtime. Staff were really welcoming. There was a good range of food from snacks to full meals. All reasonably priced. Our food was beautifully prepared and served and really fresh especially the fish. My husband enjoyed the low alcohol beer. Will definitely return

Such a nice evening. The service and food were absolutely perfect. Couldn’t do enough for us. Really did surpass my expectations and great to see Le Hocq doing so well again.
Have given a 4 star for atmosphere because I think the bar area lacks a little without music always playing but do recognise the efforts of the team who pop the jukebox on from time to time.
Looking forward to returning. Thank you.

I visited last Sunday looking for a good roast dinner, and Le Hocq certainly delivered! I’m not normally a carvery kind of guy, but I was genuinely really impressed by the standard here. Everything was fresh, cooked beautifully, and the portion sizes are very generous!

The service was exceptional from start to finish. We were greeted warmly and Tom looked after us throughout our visit he was very attentive and friendly. All the staff are very approachable and welcoming. I’d really recommend giving this place a try if you haven’t been before!
