There was a bit of a wait as there are no reservations taken but with wanting to sit outside on a glorious Friday evening, has to be expected. We had a drink whilst waiting for the table, so all good.
Service super friendly and food delicious.
The whole evening gave me SoCal vibes.
Had the poke bowl, which was filled with so many nice things! The chicken was very juicy and flavoursome.
Also got the muscles in tomato sauce, which tasted very fresh and well seasoned.
Would highly recommend this place and will be coming back for sure.
We first visited El Tico 37 years ago when it was little more than a shack with great food and atmosphere.
Our return visit in June 26 was just as good an experience and amazing to see how the place has developed.
Still great food and friendly service and overall excellent value for money.

The position of the cafe / restaurant was right near to the surfing clubs.
We went straight in (we hadn’t booked) and we were given a table by a delightful, attentive waitress.
We ordered our food, hubby had Tempura Prawns & salad (£18:95) & I had freshly cooked hot salmon & there salad bowl (£19:95)
It was served promptly & it all tasted amazing
It was all cooked to perfection & for sweet we had a Toffee / Caramel & Chocolate Biscotti biscuit Sundae which was amazing too.
We would definitely recommend this eatery to anyone.
Do not pass it by it’s definitely worth a visit.
We went on a Sunday afternoon during school term time.
In the bay, near the cafe, was “La Rocco Tower”, built in 1781.
Although not eaten on this visit, we have to recommend the cheesy garlic bread, it’s on another level indeed.
There is a very good range of food, pretty much covers all tastes and requirements. The specials get changed out now and again too.
