Visiting from UK was highly recommded by family member who is jersey resident she was horrified that we have now had 3 bad experiences in as many months - first build your own breakfast cold and overcooked, second visit- beautiful tomato and basil soup served cold aaaagh when sent back was told we thought you were on lunch break and in a rush to get it eaten!!!! What a ridiculous thing to say - third time went for poached eggs on toast- was informed quite rudely by person on till that don't provide white bread?? I struggle with brown bread but because I was hungry had to go with it my poached eggs were tiny, hard and tasted of vinegar. What a Shame, such a great little cafe in lovely spot but maybe need a couple of chefs and maybe consider introducing nice white bread to appease wider audience.

Update review for management:
Since you asked me to get in touch I have tried but to no avail!
Someone emailed me but it was very cryptic- they didn't give their name but claimed they're the manager and after I emailed them I never heard back!
Original review:
The smoothies used to be great. Now the strawberry one just tastes like orange juice, which is listed, but there was so much that we didn't even know if there was strawberry in it, it just tasted like orange.
The Monmouth cappuccino wasn't like before. Very light and flavourless.
2 of the waitresses on this Saturday were amazing. Attentive, smiley, so quick on cleaning tables and helpful. But the lady at the counter was taking the order and was very abrupt, not bothered, just asking us non stop if we're ready to order. Talked over us once, no smile...nothing. Overall disappointed it used to be great but our little lunch date was a disappointment

Fantastic find! Attached to Jersey Arts Centre, this cafe serves simple but good food, served by really lovely staff who are so helpful, especially as I have a dairy and gluten intolerance. It's busy which is always a good sign and we can't recommend this place enough.

the coffee here is really good 10/10 highly recommend. We’ve come here 3 days in a row and had amazing food every day the avocado toast was really good although the poached eggs were a little over poached still really good though. We ordered the pick 4 build your own breakfast on the last day and it was really good nice variety since you get to choose. Although the pancakes don’t come with syrup which is totally fine it just doesn’t say you’d have to pay .90 p extra for syrup anywhere on the menu which it should. Then I went up to pay the extra for maple syrup for the pancakes and she said I couldn’t use card under one pound. They ended up just giving us the syrup which was really nice and appreciated. Overall reccomend Cafe Jac and would come back.

Absolutely loved this place, we came here for 3 consecutive days; had late lunch when arriving with the ferry from France, follow next day by breakfast and finally early dinner before getting on the ferry back. Lunch: chicken pita with the best sweet potato fries (crunchy and warm) and great quesadillas! Breakfast: full month English breakfast fast with toast and tea super tasty and one of the best carrot cakes we have had. Dinner: quinoa falafel and berry slush; exactly what I needed after heavy English food on the island and chocolate pie to share. Unfortunately the chocolate pie was dry, I thought it would be as good as the carrot cake but that no. Maybe I should have had it warmed up. All with all definitely great place to eat and great service, super chill vibe, and free water to tap yourself! Great price quality ratio! It is
