Would definitely recommend this hotel. The single room had everything a solo traveller could possibly need. Clean, quiet, cosy, comfortable room with an amazing harbour view, friendly and helpful staff, and an unbeatable location on Gorey pier. The breakfast was delicious and filling with an extensive menu, complete with complimentary juices and hot drinks. I also had dinner in the restaurant which had a great atmosphere and attentive staff, and whilst there was a bit of a wait, the food was delicious and the traditional Portuguese Espetadas were a sight to behold.

The location was excellent, right next to the Mont Orgueil Castle. The breakfast was really good as well. The room was nice, if a little dated and cold, though they did provide electric heaters. Overall a good stay.

I first shared this review with them directly but failed to get a response after a few days so I am posting here.

The staff were nice but we had a hard time finding someone for our check in at 5 p.m. It was also confusing to know where to go once inside. Our first impressions were the strong smell of second hand smoke.

The staff we met were nice and helpful in the end.

The room was clean but basic but the worst part was how thin the walls were.

The first night, we were woken up by a drunk person in the room next door. He blared music from his T.V. at 3 am. It kept us up all night despite knocking on his door. We let the staff know

The second night, we hoped to sleep in but were woken at 6 a.m. on Saturday by another guest playing their T.V. loud.

We didn't eat the breakfast that came with the room b/c of the small signs that we saw throughout that indicated to us that cleanliness was not a priority.

Overall, it was a basic experience. Nothing to write home about and not somewhere I would recommend sadly.
