The room was fresh and tidy, it was re freshed everyday with clean towels and tea and coffee top up. There was a large fan in the room , for when it was to warm, not an issue while we were there. Definitely worth a visit, and one we would return too.
On arrival the staff at the front desk couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful -- offering holiday and eatery recommendations. A faulty bath plug was fixed within the hour.
The breakfast is a buffet style but it's good quality with plenty of choice.
I'm was in a single room and was pleasantly surprised by the size and the incredible view of St Helier by day and night. The pillows were very comfy (a pleasant surprise) and the mattress was fine. The bath and shower were great.
Please bring your swimwear and take advantage of the fantastic spa and pool.
My room, see pic, has a temperate in the 30s at fine 7pm. No air con unless you're in a deluxe room I'm afraid. The bar is dated and when I went, stank of fish. I'm supposed to be here for 3 nights, this is night 1. I'm desperate to find another hotel.. this is too far out of town. There are NO places near by. I have nothing good to say about it aside from the polite reception staff.
If anybody from the hotel would help me find somewhere else to stay, I'd be grateful
With the exception of a few individuals we felt the service at the hotel was indifferent at best and completely oblivious to us at worst. In short we didnt feel valued as guests. In stark contrast to the way we were treated by staff in local restaurants, pubs, the zoo and the airport who were universally friendly, upbeat and helpful. We will return to this beautiful island but will not stay at this hotel again.
The hotel and the grounds are very grand and well-kept. The room was clean, tidy and very comfortable. The bathroom decor was a little bit dated but everything was in pristine condition so nothing to complain about. The provided toiletries and local tea and coffee offerings in the room were a nice touch. There was a fan in the room as well which came in handy during the warm weather. All the staff were very polite and friendly. The location is a little bit far out from St. Helier but I didn't mind the 10 minute walk into the centre.
I had a good stay and would recommend.
We were greeted in our room by lovely gifts from the hotel..much appreciated and a very thoughtful.
Service was excellent.. room kept very clean.
Food was plentiful at breakfast and our Anniversary dinner was delicious.
Spa with swim pools were excellent, a nice place to relax.
Spent our honeymoon here so this hotel is very special to us.
